The most common RF Connectors & Adapters in ham radio encountered are these: UHF (PL259 & S0239), UHF, NMO, SMA, BNC Connectors.

Applications

For UHF and VHF applications, SMA,BNC and N type connectors are preferred.

SMA & varieties. It is near universal for portable radios and common on mobiles at VHF and UHF frequencies.
