1 Select the RF adapter correctly
Firstly, choose the relatively good quality's RF adapters and RF cables. Poor quality adapter will be seriously affected the test. Besides, the physical dimensions of the poor adapters are not standard and after using for a long time, the RF interface of the instrument will be worn.
2 Both hands to tighten the correct thread
When connecting the microwave connector: Do not operate with one hand, because it is not easy to horizontally interface the connector with the RF port with one-hand operation. If the two are at a certain angle and then tighten the connector, it will cause a mechanical stress and cause physical damage to the connector. The connector and the RF interface should be horizontally connected first, then use both hands to secure the connector at the specified position. The other hand uses a torque wrench to connect at the specified position.
3 Using a torque wrench
When connecting the adapter to the cable, use a torque wrench. The use of a torque wrench not only ensures adequate connection, but also avoids excessive force and physical damage to the device. Two types of errors are particularly noticeable in use: 1. The angle of rotation using the torque wrench is too large. 2. the position of the hand is too far forward. Both of these errors can result in incorrect force. Different sizes of connectors require different torque wrenches.
