The DIN 1.0/2.3 coax connector was originally developed as a 50 Ohm RF connector solution in the 1980's, and it was introduced for telecommunication applications in the 1990s. 

DIN 1.0/2.3 series of RF connectors are available in 50 ohm and 75 ohm versions for choice and are compatible with the most widely used cable sizes. The push/pull lock and release feature to make it really easy to use.
