MMCX is a RF coaxial connector which was developed in the 1990s and uses a snap-in connection, can rotate 360 degrees. The normal characteristic impedance is 50 ohm.

The MMCX connectors are commonly found on the antenna interface of wireless PC cards, and on the GPS GNSS communication antenna jacks of PDAs and GPS navigation devices.  The MMCX interfaces are also used to replace the data cable on some of the in-ear headphones.

MMCX is a push-in connector, it can be mounted to semi-rigid and flexible coaxial cables.

It is 7 mm from the top to the mating surface of the MMCX connector and the center stylus is typically 4 mm OD. Therefore MMCX is designed for smaller cables such as 0.047'', 0.085'' (2.1 mm) semi-rigid and RG316, RG174, etc. And the cutoff frequency of MMCX is typically about 6 GHz.

Normally MMCX connectors are with smaller size than MCX but cost more. And there're not many suitable cable types to choose from due to it's small size, however the MMCX cnnection is quick and easy, it's easy to be ejected because of the push-in connection.

Superbat offers various of MMCX series connectors and customized cable assemblies.
