N Crimp Plug connector for LMR195
[N01-SPL19-41BS00]
$2.20
by F**** R**** Date Added: Saturday 22 December, 2012
Hi I recently purchased a quantity of the N Crimp Plug connector for LMR195
[N01-SPL19-41BS00] on fitting to RG58U coax similar to UMR195 I found the rear of the centre connection pin comes in contact with the body of the metal enclosure & causes a short circuit - there appears to be insufficient clearance ...had to chuck away two new fittings after clamping as a result ..

the fix was to grind off approx 1.5mm of the rear of the center pin where the soldered connection is made with the centre conductor of the coax - once this was done there was adequate clearance & the fittings tested fine !!

Other readers should be weary of this design problem ..
my rating is poor - but the fitting operated satisfactory following the mod
